• What is your approach to filming weddings?
You'll notice a lot of smiles, tears, hugs, and laughs in my films. This is a direct result of my organic documentary approach. My goal is to capture candid moments as they happen, and to stay out of your way as much as possible so you can enjoy your special day. The end result is a beautiful film that reflects your wedding the way you experienced it—a celebration of your love surrounded by your closest family and friends.

  • How do you choose music for short films and feature films?
Picking the right musical score is essential for crafting the emotional journey of your film. I invite you to send me a handful of songs or artists that you like, and I will use those as reference to handpick similar instrumental tracks from online music licensing sites to be your film's soundtrack. This approach ensures that we abide by copyright laws, while giving your film a unique cinematic soundtrack that enhances the emotions of your film without distracting from the images. I find that acoustic and indie style music generally fits my shooting style, but every wedding has it's own unique vibe.

  • Can we get the raw footage?
Trust me, you don't want to watch the raw footage. Because I film documentary style, my camera is constantly moving around so that I can capture even the briefest moments and interactions. In between those amazing moments there's a lot of unwatchable camera adjustment going on, sometimes including shots of my own feet as I'm moving to find another angle. But if you want to see all the extra moments that didn't make it into your short film or feature film, you can add the 60-minute documentary film to your package. This film includes pretty much everything I captured from your day, but cleaned up and edited in a straightforward chronological fashion.

  • How long after the wedding will we receive our films?
8-16 weeks. I try to deliver your films as soon as I can while allowing for enough time to sift through every minute of footage and craft a totally unique film. Towards the end of the summer my editing queue tends to be a bit longer, but you can always shoot me an email for an update and I will respond within 24 hours.

  • Do you travel out of town for weddings?
Yes! I love to travel. If your wedding is more than an hour away from Seattle, just get in touch and I can give you a quote for travel costs.

  • How do we book you for our wedding?
Shoot me an email or give me a call, and we can schedule a time to chat over coffee or a video call. If it’s a good fit for both parties and you're ready to book, we'll high-five and fill out a contract. A 30% retainer secures your date, and the remainder can be paid any time leading up to or on the wedding day.
